The owners of this property in Bognor Regis needed a neat solution to accomodate their audio visual equipment and to provide ample storage for their growing DVD and CD collection.
MJ Carpentry & Joinery first constructed the framework which was made from studwork timber known as CLS, they then plasterboarded over, filled and sanded as shown in the picture below and finally applied coving and skirting to match original then chimney was ready to decorate. Were the build needed to create enough storage space, the best solution was to create three cubby holes either side for any DVD’s, CD’s, Books and also a larger cubby hole at floor level for the DVD player, games console, surround sound etc. The finished Chimney Breast also hides all the cables for a neat finish.
I’m sure you’ll agree when the Chimney Breast was finished it blends in very well with the main living area and the colour scheme works nicely.
