This small shed in Bognor Regis wasn’t giving the owners quite enough space for what they needed.
M.J Carpentry & Joinery were called in to build half the amount of the shed again on to it creating the space they needed, whilst recycling the existing pair of doors but using them singularly at the front and back of the shed. Now the main door at the front lines through perfectly with new pathway up to the shed.
This was a fairly simple design including:
- Treated timbers for the walls and roof.
- Re-felting accross the whole new length of the shed.
- Simple perspex windows allowing light in and to match the original design.
- Treated feather edge boarding nailed directly to the wall studs to again provide a finish matching in with the original.
Not only did we extend the shed, we also created a small lean-to off the back end of it which was felted to match the rest of the roof and creates an extra storage area for them. The family cat also loves to rest up there using it as a bunk bed!
Once the build was complete, the owners were going to paint the new extension to match in with the original colour of the existing shed design.
